Men's Mental Health Program

The Men’s Mental Health Program provides trauma-informed counseling and psycho-educational support for men who are experiencing emotional distress, relationship challenges, or the impacts of past trauma.
This program is designed for men who want a space to better understand their emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, and build skills for managing stress, relationships, and life transitions. The focus is on healing, self-awareness, and emotional growth, not blame or punishment.
Services may include individual counseling, group support, or structured programming depending on individual needs and readiness.
Who Can Participate:
The Men’s Mental Health Program serves:
- Men seeking support for stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, or life transitions
- Men who recognize patterns of emotional shutdown, anger, or relational strain and want to build healthier ways of coping
- Men who have completed a Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP) and are seeking deeper therapeutic work focused on trauma, identity, and emotional regulation
- Men who are self-referred or referred by providers, courts, or community partners
Participation in this program does not require current involvement in the legal system and is not a substitute for PAIP when court-ordered intervention is required. Anyone who identifies as male and has trauma and/or abuse may benefit from this program.
What You Will Work On:
The Men’s Mental Health Program supports participants in:
- Understanding how trauma, stress, and social expectations around masculinity impact mental health
- Developing emotional awareness and regulation skills
- Building healthier communication and relationship skills
- Addressing grief, loss, identity, and self-worth
- Strengthening coping strategies that reduce isolation, shame, and reactivity
This program recognizes that many men have not been given safe or appropriate spaces to process emotion, vulnerability, or trauma—and that creating those spaces is essential to long-term well-being and safer relationships.
