Jill Hunt has over 25 years of experience in Strategy and Marketing, working for Fortune 100 companies to privately owned companies. Currently she is the Sr. Director of Insights for Encore. Previously, she worked at Stryker and Medela based in McHenry.
Jill holds a BS in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati and a Certificate of Business Management from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
She is a resident of Crystal Lake and a huge advocate for the many wonderful outdoor parks available. Her interests include triathlon, hiking and she is a big “foodie”.
Gary Bonick is a Sr. Personal and Commercial Lines Agent at Neis Insurance Agency in Crystal Lake.
He served as the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce from 2020-2021 and is still a member of the board. While at the chamber, Gary served as Chair of the President’s Council for three years. He was a member of the Monday Night Football committee for many years as well as serving on the Community Harvest Committee, benefitting the Crystal Lake Food Pantry.
Gary has received many honors including the Pride In Crystal Lake Award in February, 2020 and the Crystal Lake Chambers’ Presidential Award of Excellence in 2017. He also achieved insurance industry designations from The Life Underwriting Training Council and the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors
In addition to his Chamber work, Gary serves on the Turning Point Board of Directors as Vice-President. He coordinated the Purple Purse collection drive for four years which benefited Turning Point of McHenry County. Working with former colleagues they were able to donate $35,000 and numerous items.
Gary, his wife and their two boys are proud to reside in Crystal Lake.
In his free time, Gary is an avid downhill skier and Chicago White Sox fan.
Tiffany is the President of Princredible, Inc. She decided to change careers for a third time (after teaching and banking) to open a screen printing business in 2014. The business has now expanded into embroidery as well, and has gone from the basement to a 12,000 SF facility with 10 employees in the last 8 years.
Tiffany has been on the Turning Point Board for 12 years and joined the board as a way to give back to her community and help empower women in crisis. “I had no idea the impact that the Agency has on the lives of the clients, how much the staff gives of themselves each and every day until I joined the board. The work that Turning Point provides in the community has kept me involved and engaged.”
Tiffany is a third generation/life-long resident of McHenry County.
After helping numerous companies connect data with insights to inform marketing strategies, Abbey is bringing her passion for teaching people to connect and communicate to Turning Point. Upon starting Conversate Labs, a brand and communications insights firm, she regularly leads and listens to hundreds of people around the world in focus groups, surveys, and insights sessions to help solve complex problems. With 20 years of experience working with the FORTUNE 100, large companies, business owners, and non-profits, her unique approach and research methodologies have transformed many brands, leaders, and companies today.
Abbey is a trained moderator and leadership coach who is excited to bring her passion and skills to Turning Point and help give back to the Greater McHenry County area. Her career started when she pursued an MBA in Marketing Strategy and received a Bachelor's degree in Marketing & International Business from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. She also has a Data & Analytics certification from the Wharton School of Business. Abbey lives in the Crystal Lake area with her husband, Rick, and two sons.
Angela is a CPA and Senior Manager at Porte Brown, LLC specializing in assurance services. She grew up in McHenry County and after a couple of short-term stints out of state, attending college and meeting my better half, she has been back for eight years. Angela has been serving on the board for a little over a year. She was looking for an opportunity to use her skill set in a way to give back to her community.
Since joining the board, Angela has been truly amazed by the dedication, selflessness, and spirit of those that work and volunteer at Turning Point and could not be more proud to take part in it.

Jodi Reich is a Human Resources professional with 17+ years of experience working within the intricacies of people management. A passion for people by bringing encouragement and hope to others drives Jodi.
Jodi gets to live out this passion daily as a Human Resources Manager at Medela LLC in McHenry, Illinois, and as a Board Member with Turning Point, Inc.
Jodi enjoys a good book, boating on a quiet lake, camping, and spending time with family.
Katelyn was born and raised in Lakewood and is the daughter of a trauma nurse and a Chicago firefighter. Service to others was ingrained in her from a young age.
She attended DePaul University where she studied communications, religious and peace studies and conflict resolution.
After graduating, Katelyn entered the social work field, first working at Home of the Sparrow, then Turning Point as a DV advocate and lastly Community Crisis center in Elgin as a DV and sexual assault advocate.
She entered police work in 2014 as she felt her desire to help others could be even more fulfilled. Katelyn currently serves the City of McHenry as a patrol officer.
Lori Sullivan is the Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive at Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital, a 56-bed specialty hospital in Woodstock, Illinois.
Lori has over 25 years of health care leadership experience. Her career began in Behavioral Health, but her portfolio has included several other service lines during her tenure in the system. In her current position, she oversees operations for the Emergency Department, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Guest Services, and the Behavioral Health Service Line.
Lori received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mennonite College of Nursing (now Illinois State University), Bloomington, Illinois and holds a Masters’ Degree in Nursing Administration from Western Governors University and is an advanced certified nurse executive through ANA. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and ANA and recently participated on the Nursing Education Taskforce for the Northern Illinois Chapter.
Lori has been on the Turning Point Board since 2019 and she is passionate about serving those who are impacted by domestic violence.
Thomas Spencer IV is a 2002 graduate of Truman State University, and a 2006 graduate of Northern Illinois University College of Law. Thomas received his license to practice law from the Illinois Supreme Court in 2006. Since then, Thomas has focused much of his law practice in the area of family law matters, including allocation of parental responsibility and parenting time. He is an approved Child Representative or Guardian Ad Litem in both McHenry and Kane counties.
Thomas is a nearly life-long resident of McHenry County and formerly was the chairperson of the McHenry County Ethics Commission. He is an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the McHenry County Bar Association. Although active in the McHenry County community, Thomas also devotes much of his free time to his three children.
Vanessa Thomfohrda is a respected and dedicated professional with a wealth of experience in the real estate industry, having served the vibrant community of McHenry County for over a decade. Her unwavering commitment to community betterment and her role as a passionate housing advocate have been the cornerstones of her career. Beyond facilitating real estate transactions, Vanessa's true calling lies in her ability to educate and empower. Through her engaging workshops, she imparts valuable insights on housing advocacy, home buying, and home selling, equipping individuals with the tools they need to make informed choices.
In addition to her thriving real estate career, Vanessa extends her profound influence to the realm of social impact. As a new member of the Turning Point Board, Vanessa leverages her expertise to effect meaningful change. Her enthusiasm and gratitude for being a member of the Turning Point Board further exemplify her dedication to empowering survivors and creating a safer society.
Vanessa's commitment extends beyond her professional endeavors as she actively participates on the school board, contributing to the growth and development of future generations. On the sports field, she not only coaches softball but also imparts invaluable life skills to young athletes. Amidst her dynamic roles, Vanessa cherishes moments spent with her family, showcasing a harmonious balance between her personal and professional pursuits.
