Survivor's Intervention Program (S.I.P)

alternative to abuse program

The Survivor’s Intervention Program is a specialized subgroup within our Partner Abuse Intervention Program designed for survivors of abuse who, as a result of their responses to that abuse, have become involved in the criminal justice system. S.I.P is a 24-week psycho-educational program designed to support survivors who have used reactive violence in response to experiencing coercive control and abuse from a partner.

The program’s goals are to help clients understand the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships and begin the healing process. We discuss boundaries, red flags, self-worth, self-esteem, different types of abuse, coping skills, and safety planning. The curriculum is designed to draw on client’s strengths, providing education and support and helping them envision a positive future that is free of violence.
